SOCIAL & ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITY.
ETHICAL MANUFACTURING
We only work with partners that respect the people they employee so 100% of our clothes are made in Fair Wear Foundation certified facilities. FWF are a globally recognised independent non-profit organisation dedicated to promote safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing through certification, ending gender-based violence, supporting worker empowerment, pushing for living wages and creating change on the factory floor.
Their code labour practices are simple: employment is freely chosen, the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, no discrimination in employment, no exploitation of child labour, payment of living wage, reasonable hours of work, safe and healthy working conditions and legally binding employment relationship. We say that our products are made with love and we really mean it.
sustainability
From the begging, our mission has been to sell high-quality garments in the most responsible and ethical way. We, therefore, integrate sustainability into everything we do, making deliberate decisions about who we work with, how we work, and what materials we use.
We work only with 100% organic cotton and recycled materials. At Love & Riots, we work closely with our suppliers to ensure the best materials, produced in ways that do not harm people, animals, or the environment. We exclusively use 100% GOTS certified organic cotton, recycled paper, and recycled polyester.
Our suppliers are certified by various independent bodies and standards. Each of these certifications demonstrates that we are working towards building healthy environmental practices and greater respect for the planet, every step of the way.

responsible production
Traditional shopping chains produce items manufactured in bulk to save money. Meanwhile, Love & Riots only print a product when a customer places an order for it, creating items that already have a known buyer. This lets us avoid overproduction and excess items that don’t get sold and have to be thrown out or burned, as several retailers do.
With 92 million tons of textile going to waste in the fashion industry each year, we want to make a difference. Our only waste mainly comes from the items that are damaged during printing or have a printing failure, and they’re donated to charity if they’re still in good condition or donated to animal sanctuaries who can use them for their needs.
community and giving back
We want to help as much as possible, so we have decided to donate part of our profits to different social, animal or environmental organisations. For our temporary campaigns we will be donating 10% of the profits obtained from every sale (limited to 150 sales per campaign). We will team up with small grassroots non-profit organisations or animal sanctuaries, carefully chosen, that really need help.
We feel a deep respect for people volunteering to take care of our planet and make other beings’ life better, so when we run our donation campaigns we like to get to know them, visit and work with them when possible.
